issue
The number-one issue for shrimp producers has been disease management.
In a normal year, shrimp producers might only harvest half of the starting population of the pond due to disease, and about every five years a specific disease will become an even more serious problem.
Typically the industry has turned to additives to achieve functional results such as improved immune response.
What
we did
We designed a Corn Protein Complex using targeted fermentation for a new, macro ingredient that is both nutritive functional.
Motiv is designed to create a better gut environment and lower the pH along with providing other nutritive substances that stimulate a better microbiome for immune response and energy.
Motiv provides a prebiotic and probiotic effect
delivers carotenoids, nucleotides, small peptides, and organic acid to promote an optimal gut environment for better growth and stress resistance.
The design of Motiv and proprietary fermentation
ensures the same nutritive substances are bound to the protein structure.
Multiple trials have shown
an improvement in feed conversion and weight gain. Motiv has led to improved stress and immune response, and an enhanced red color of shrimp.
